Importance of Motivation for Growth of an Organization

Broussard and Garrison (2004) as Cited by (Emily, 2011) motivation can define as the attribute that person must do or not to do something. To keep people, motivate to do on their work is a competitive advantage to an organization. It helps to improve company growth plan always. Unmotivated work is a liability to company, as he/she can makes lot of bad merits to organization & slow down the growth of the business.


Factors that People get Demotivated at Work

There are many factors that influence demotivation people at workplace,

Ignored Poor Performance & Rewarded: The management rewarded deficient performance employees with ignored well perform employees, it will create hostile work environment and people who work hard & smart get demotivate to put extra effort on work (OPSTART, 2017).

High Level of Stress: When worker has too much on plate, it gets confused from where to start. It creates more stress and lack of motivation to concentrate on work (OPSTART, 2017).

Micromanagement: When employee feels that they get monitor every moment, it tends to lose their interest to do their job, as it creates uncertainty on their mind that every move of them can be pull & criticize. This can lead to demotivate (OPSTART, 2017).

Lack of Faith of Company/Leaders: Losing the faith of company’s progress & it is future and losing trust of leaders of the company, will demotivate the employees, as they will feel that no point of their effort towards the job (OPSTART, 2017).

Recognition: Get recognize by the management will improve the motivation of employee, which feels that has potential to move up on business & get rewarded.

Advancement: Development & progress in work life and personal life as well as skill developments will help to stay motivate. Companies does development programs, trainings lot to keep employees motivate.

Job satisfaction: Willingness to come to work & do the assigned job also help to keep employee motivate & attract to job.

Growth: Growth of business as well as personal growth will keep employees motivate.

Achievement: Achieve of targets, goals & assigned KPIs will keep employee motivate, which feels that has performance the job duties well.

Responsibilities/ Power: Employees get motivate when they get more responsibilities/challengers on their job. With more responsibility employees get more power & it is a motivation factor.

Opportunities: When employee knows there are opportunities to move on their career path, they get motivate to go for that by doing proper job. Promotions is a key factor of motivation.

Incentive: Introduce attractive incentive schemes one of major motivation factor, this will lead employees to be more focus on job & achieve set KPIs.

Team Building Programs: Arrange of team building programs will help to motivate employees, this will help them to meet & get to know other department peoples, which increase the trust with each other.

 

Importance of Motivation

Help to Reach Professional & Personal Goals – Motivated person always focus on job KPIs as well as personal life targets. Even in tough times of life they can be focus on important things & free mind will help to think and focus long-term plans. Also, this will lower the stress (OPSTART, 2017).

Improve the Productivity – Motivated employees always try to right thing at right time with right quality. This improves the productivity of business actions & outputs (OPSTART, 2017).

Help to Make Stable Company – Quality output with right time, will helps to minimize the cost of company as well improve the customer service as well as the profit margins. This helps to make more stable workplace and a company (OPSTART, 2017).

 

Conclusion

It is always good to be motivate & also to take necessary actions to keep the employees motivate in workplace, which help to improve the standards of the company as well as standard of employee’s personal lifestyle. This helps to make comfortable workplace to improve the growth of the company & also to improve work life balance of employees.
