Internship can define as a position that trainee or student who works in an organization. Students join with organizations as intern to satisfy requirement for qualifications & when trainee join as intern that will be mostly to gain work experience. Sometimes interns get pay & sometimes not, but even pay it will be small amount.

the internship program, he/she should have good knowledge about the
organization & how it works & its procedures as well as culture. If any
open organization he/she should be the best fit to that, as less cost for train
as well as to hire. Even if not still need to stay connected with intern as
he/she can be client or vendor for the organization in future. So, better HR to
